Blueberry Buckle

Oh yeah and I was just looking through all my old posts. The weather has been such a tease these past few weeks. One day it will be in the 60's and another day (like today) it will be snowing out! I decided this weekend is DEFINITELY a weekend for some more blueberry buckle after looking at all those yummy pictures!

Will you be my Bridesmaid?

It's been over 3 months (almost 4!) since my last post and as you can imagine I've been quite the busy little bee! With the holidays and a brand new job (which I love by the way!), and grad school, I have had very little time for blogging. But that's all going to change! I have been loving every single minute of our wedding planning and I want to document every last detail as much as possible. Way back in September I made "Will You Be My Bridesmaid?" cards for each of my lovely bridesmaids. It was really important to me to invite each one of them individually and to tell them how special they are to me. Because without them I would be one depressed and lonely bride! I handmade each card in true DIY form and they came out so beautiful. I found the little shoe stands which are actually photo stands at Pier 1 to accompany the card. I hope from time to time each of my bridesmaids will read their card and remember how special they are to me!
I started with a plain white cut-out of a dress that I drew by hand

Then I traced it on some beautiful velvety paper and added the little red "sash"
Then added a little pearl! Oh the details....
And here are 5 already done
I attached the dress and the message to a folded piece of red cardstock
It's time for the shoes!
I made my sister's (who is my maid of honor) a little different from the rest. Her's was in the shape of an actual dress
and when you opened it up, there is a wedding dress on the other side symbolizing her standing next to me on my wedding day
and here they are ta-da!
