I've been a posting machine today and want to squeeze out one more before I call it a day and go home to spend the evening with Ryan eating sushi, making pies, and getting the house ready for tomorrow. I'm already ahead of schedule now that I finally found a tablecloth that would be big enough to cover our three card tables that I mention
here. I decided to keep things simple since eight of us need to fit at the table with all our food, drinks, etc. so I decided to showcase some of the beautiful plates we received as gifts for our wedding. The setting include pieces from the Celadon 4-Piece Place Setting at
Crate and Barrel and Lenox Simply Fine Chirp Salad Plates from
Bed Bath and Beyond. I also took a few vases that we had leftover from the wedding reception, placed them on top of some decorative garland rings that I picked up almost 7 years ago and filled one with an apricot candle and one with a branch that I stole from Erica's backyard (with permission, of course). My plan is to spraypaint the branch gold and attach small paper leaves either with ribbon or small clothespins (I have both to try out) with the names of each family member who will be joining us tomorrow. Even though I won't be blogging, I plan to update facebook with the finished project (along with some other projects I have planned for tonight) so be sure to check my facebook page for all the details! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!
My free branch!

I love these plates! My sister Carrie and aunt Julie each both bought me these so I could have eight plates:

Instead of placemats I bought some square paper from Michael's with a little sheen in them, rounded the corners, and placed under each setting to add a little dimension to the table
